Wine Industry Resources Are Now Online

The Washington State Wine Commission has a clear mission: to raise awareness of our state’s great selection of wines, through marketing and education. Because the WSWC wanted to rethink how they share information with the wine industry’s core audience, the trade and press, they hired Ply.

 
 
 
 
 
 
 

 

Ply was thrilled to partner with the WSWC in building the interactive and easy-to-use addition to their existing site. “With such a mountain of information to convey, the biggest challenge was organizing an intuitive experience for a wide range of visitors,” said Patrick Stroud, President. “We designed a virtual library with powerful search capabilities to assist users in finding new content.”

When visitors select the new “trade” tab, they now have access to downloadable white papers, press and marketing materials, photos, videos, and an interactive American Viticultural Area map, which provides a detailed analysis of each diverse growing region in Washington. In addition, those involved in producing wine – from growing grapes to selling wine – have secure access to the tools and resources they need to stay informed.

Ply and the WSWC are already moving forward with improvements and additional features suggested by end users. It’s an exciting time to be involved with Washington wine!
